I didn’t have lunch with former presidents, nor bearers of tramp stamps, but I did have a very pleasant table for one at Mai’s, Bryan at Fitzhugh. The spicy tofu with lemon grass sauce, at $6.25, has moved up near the top of my list when I am in gastronomic penitence from a 1/2-pound Wingfield’s cheeseburger.
