Forgive me. I shouldn’t joke. The crime news is actually quite encouraging. For the first time in more than 10 years, it’s down in all major categories. When Chief Kunkle said he wanted to reduce murders by 20 percent in 2005, I think we all thought he was nuts. The murder rate dropped 18.9 percent. Give the man a raise.
