Curious to know what up-and-coming Texas designers you should keep your eye on and start stocking your closet with? Texas’ Next Top Designer, Inc. will announce the top-10 finalists and winner of the 2009 Search for Texas’ Next Top Designer competition at its third annual gala on May 21 (next Thursday) at Victory Park. Preliminary nominees, who will be competing for a prize package valued at $40,000, include Dallas-based designers August Alexander, Eddie Nelson Barrett, Amber Liggon, Beth Greer, James Martinez, Amber Perley, Elizabeth Pool, Darien Thomas, Jessica Head, Sharron Valk, Courtney Warren-Slye, and Doug Voisin & Andrew Bayer. The winner will receive financial support and production assistance from the organization, which includes a one-year styling contract for all public appearances from Toni & Guy.
