A mid-week lull is as good a time as any to remind you about one of the ongoing events we recently recommended. As was explained in last month’s issue, the Archibald Motley show at the Amon Carter is everything great about the venerable institution, as not every museum in town can boast about how much space is given to our nation’s artists of color. Motley’s work is featured in the Jazz Age Modernist exhibition, and it’s as electric and forceful as ever.  Happy hour will be well under way at the Usual once the doors are locked at the AC, and it’s a luxurious drinking experience like few others in North Texas.

This is also your daily reminder that the Asian Film Festival will kick off at 1 pm today, with a screening of the drama, Boomerang Family.
