Neko Case at the Granada Theater is sold out, as is pianist Olga Kern’s performance at the Kimbell Art Museum.

But free pie! It’s National Pie Day, and our Carol Shih has a round up of all the places celebrating the occasion over on SideDish.

Fans of Marilyn Monroe might be interested in the traveling show currently running in the Wyly’s main theater space. Marilyn: Forever Blonde is a one-woman play derived from hundreds of her own quotes and songs from her films, and narrated by the many men who played a co-starring role in her short life. You can still get tickets online, and Marilyn will run through the weekend.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra begins performances of a concert made up of Johannes Brahms’ Fourth Symphony, the composer’s last symphonic work, Britten’s Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes, and Mahler’s “The Youth’s Magic Horn” with soloist Matthias Goerne. It’s at the Meyerson, of course.
