The Magnolia’s Big Movie series is taking a look at some of Quentin Tarantino’s favorite films ahead of the release next month of his new movie Django Unchained. Tonight, it is Rio Bravo, the 1959 Western classic features an all star cast, including John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, and Walter Brennan. Wayne plays a small-town sheriff who arrests a murderer and proceeds to try and keep him incarcerated while the culprit’s allies attempt to break him out. As villains run the town rampant, the sheriff is left to defend his territory with the help of a rag-tag team of volunteers made up of a drunkard, an old cripple, a saloon woman, and a teenage singer.

We have a pair of tickets (with popcorn) to give away for tonight’s 7:30 p.m. showing at the Magnolia. Just answer this question: Howard Hawks also directed Marilyn Monroe in which 1953 musical?
