Good Dallas.

When you go get your free Slurpee today, don’t forget to mix all the flavors. It’s the only way.

FrontRow has covered this over the past few days, but tonight marks a couple of changes in Knox/Henderson’s regular Thursday night scene. DJ Sober’s popular Big Bang begins anew in the basement of The Travis, formerly Rio Room. The Beauty Bar baton passes to Ynfynyt Scroll, aka Rodrigo Diaz, who put together a preview mix for us yesterday ahead of the first night of his new residency, The Turn Up. Follow the link to listen. Our awesome, multi-talented web intern, Michelle Ofiwe, has details:

In celebration of tomorrow’s festivities, Diaz was kind enough to share with us this all new, exclusive mix so fans can get a better feel of his multi-faceted sound. “It’s a really accurate depiction of what you’d hear at The Turn-Up,” Diaz explains.

There you go. What to do? More choices are better than no choices. And Uber‘s pretty helpful in that area for navigating yourself back and forth between the two. Both start around 10 p.m.

Also this evening, Good Magazine’s local chapter hosts a conversation titled Let’s Build a Stronger Dallas at Garden Cafe. The discussion will revolve around how to improve aspects of Dallas living, such as education and engagement. You’ll hear from various local leaders representing the Dallas Education Foundation, Art Conspiracy, the Texas Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association, the Dallas Parks Foundation, and The Deep Ellum Outdoor Market and then brainstorm solutions. Snacks will be provided, but BYOB.
