Morrison Seger Venture Capital Partners Invests in Pearl Snap Shirt Startup

Morrison Seger has found its latest Dallas startup to partner with in a recent string of investments. Led by residential real estate savant Rogers Healy, the new investment fund is targeting high-growth potential startups ranging from pre-seed startups to later stage companies. Its latest addition to its portfolio is Dallas-based apparel company, Snaps Clothing Co.

The local clothing startup, founded in September of 2021, is aiming to bridge the gap between traditional Western wear and the modern menswear market with its contemporary line of pearl snap shirts. Within the first two years of business Snaps has seen 30 percent growth each month.

“The quality design the team at Snaps Clothing has created to modernize the pearl snap shirt is incredible,” Healy said. “This is the type of product that Morrison Seger strives to get behind, and will continue to believe in throughout the partnership. We are thrilled to be on their team and to see the outpour of support and excitement from our investors.”

RedBird Capital Partners Invests in Luxury Car Service

Private investment firm RedBird Capital Partners has struck an investment agreement with luxury car service Go Rentals, which operates in over 175 markets, including DFW, across more than a dozen states, and services to more than 85 airports and various luxury hotels and resorts.

Main Street Advisors, a strategic investment partner to RedBird, contributed to the agreement. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Go Rentals has built a strong, differentiated brand with a premium fleet and is well-positioned for significant growth across key markets in RedBird’s ecosystem,” says RedBird Partner Andrew Lauck. “RedBird’s investment portfolio in private aviation, professional sports, entertainment, and financial services gives a unique perspective on the Go Rentals’ business and its customers and distribution channels. Our investment and partnership with Go Rentals are a synergistic, natural extension of the leading platforms we continue to develop across our industry verticals.”

Founded in 2014 by Gerry Cardinale, RedBird currently manages around $9 billion in assets on behalf of a global group of blue chip institutional and family office investors.

As part of the agreement, brothers Kavous and Kaye Gitibin, Go Rentals co-founders and owners, along with the current management team will remain in their leadership positions. Lauck and RedBird Managing Director Alexander Blankfein will join Go Rentals’ board of directors.

Ancor Capital Partners Invests in Banner Creator Company

Southlake-based private investment firm Ancor Capital Partners has invested in event banner creator DISPLAYIT. This marks Ancor’s 59th transaction in its mission to help lower-middle-market companies, specifically those with an enterprise value of $25 million to $150 million, reach its next level of growth.

Chicago-based firm Merit Capital Partners contributed to the investment in the California-based company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“DISPLAYIT has a quality reputation in creating unique and experiential physical environments to communicate brand identity, and we are extremely excited to partner with the team to help them achieve their growth objectives,”  J. Randall Keene, founding partner of Ancor Capital Partners, said.
