Things To Do In Dallas Tonight: Jan. 3

Tonight is always on my mind.

Is Willie Nelson playing the first of two conjoined-twin-intimate shows tonight at the Granada? You bet. Will buying secondary market tickets cast you and your family into poverty? Probably. Are there other things to do tonight? Sure — Gloria is playing at the Wyly, and the Alamo Drafthouse outposts of North Texas have a handful of screenings worth your time.

Doors at the Granada open at 7 p.m. Runaway June opens, with Willie and Family following when the time is right. They’ll be back to do it all over again tomorrow night.

Assistant magazine editors squabble and vie for supremacy on a sinking ship in GloriaDallas Theater Center’s production of a play that the New York Post calls “an adrenaline rush of a show.”

The Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson is showing Trainspotting and Velvet Goldminetwo British films about drugs, music, and friendship that we very much enjoy.
