Pastry chef Joe Baker will share his unique cake-glazing skills through a demonstration at 10 a.m. There will be samples and recipes for those in attendance. Baker, who is a regular vendor at the market, has worked at Dallas restaurants such as Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Learn more here. Participants will have the opportunity to co-prepare the meal alongside Bondy. Ingredients will be curated from the market as well as Texas farmers and ranchers. Starting this weekend, Good Local Markets will kick off their 2016 Summer Homesteading Workshop Series. Through this summer-long series, participants will learn how to make everything from jams and salsas to bath bombs and woven wall hangings. The classes will take place at The Mix Co-working Space, located at 1450 Old Gate Lane, and Makers Connect, located at 10242 Northwest Highway. Each workshop lasts two hours.
