Dallas College Foundation, the 501c3 that supports Dallas College, recently celebrated its 50th anniversary! To commemorate the occasion, we gathered both new and long-time friends at our Shine On 50th Anniversary Legacy Celebration on October 19th. The event gave us a chance to reflect on our past accomplishments and dream about the future together.  
 
Over the span of five decades, Dallas College Foundation has changed thousands of lives by opening the doors to a Dallas College degree. To date, we’ve raised $103 million to support our students and programs. This includes providing our students with $25 million in scholarships and more than $700K in emergency aid, opening food pantries on every campus, piloting childcare support and offering many other supports to students in need.
 
We’ve also funded innovative initiatives such as Dallas College’s STEM Institute and our Texas and nation-leading School of Education. More recently, we’ve started to raise funds for a state-of-the-art training program for student advisors, coaches, and care navigators.
