On Tuesday, December 5, nearly 400 guests celebrated D Magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants of 2023 with a sold-out tasting event. Guests sampled dishes from 14 of the restaurants featured in the December issue, and each dish was accompanied by an On The Rocks cocktail pairing. When guests weren’t sipping cocktails or sampling incredible food, they grooved to the sounds of the Don Diego Band, took advantage of multiple photo ops by MOTUS Red, watched a live ice-carving by Chef Pete, and took home food-themed drawings from Color Snack.

The event’s new interactive format enabled guests to engage with a variety of chefs, ranging from those with impossible-to-snag reservations to cherished neighborhood establishments. Participating restaurants included Brass Ram, Cattleack BBQ, Ebesu, El Carlos Elegante, Một Hai Ba, Purépecha, Quarter Acre, Ruins, Rye, SpicyZest Sri Lankan Fusion, Taco y Vino, Thunderbird Pies, Wu Wei Din, and Zavala’s Barbecue.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, On the Rocks, for making the event a success. Thank you also to our signature sponsor, Park Place Dealerships. Check out the 50 Best Restaurants feature in the December 2023 issue of D Magazine or view the full list of winners online now.
