Abigail Erickson-Torres, Chief Executive Officer

Abigail Erickson-Torres will focus on expanding the museum’s outreach and attendance, increasing public engagement, creating new DEI initiatives, fostering innovative education partnerships with a STEM and/or space and flight focus, and engaging philanthropists, tourism, and aviation industry leaders. She will also drive strategy for the museum with its board. Erickson-Torres has raised over $220 million for nonprofits since 2001. Most recently, she served as the CEO of Bryan’s House.


The University of North Texas

Jason Garrett, Dean of the School of Business

For the past six years, Jason Garrett has served as dean of the McAfee School of Business at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. While there, he led his teams in creating additional academic programs, expanded the online curriculum, and laid the groundwork for a new business school facility. Overseeing a team of more than 20 faculty and staff, he developed the school’s strategic plan and mission statement and advanced community relations. The focus of Garrett’s academic research has been the behavioral and financial impact of marketing decisions on sales management and B2B relationships.


Preservation House

Carolyn Howard, Executive Director

Carolyn Howard comes to Preservation Dallas after leading Historic Main Streets programs in Texas and Oklahoma, including in Lewisville, Texas; El Reno, Oklahoma; Beaumont, Texas; and Marshall, Texas. These organizations were focused on revitalizing central business districts and adjacent neighborhoods. Under Howard’s leadership, Beaumont Main Street was awarded National Main Street status for 15 consecutive years, and downtown Beaumont saw a net gain of 1,400 jobs. Founded in 1972, Preservation Dallas is dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of the city’s historic buildings, neighborhoods, and places. The organization has held ten public events in less than four months, including the Preservation Dallas 50th Anniversary Home Tour in mid-April.

In his new role, Brown will lead Mohr Partners’ Project & Development Management Services division from the company’s Dallas HQ. He will oversee ground-up development and tenant improvement projects for occupier clients that utilize industrial, office, retail, and healthcare real estate. Brown spent more than two decades working with major general contracting firms, where he supervised tenant improvement projects and large-scale, base-building capital improvement
projects that covered various real estate asset types in multiple geographies.

Before joining Plano-based Repair OnDemand, Randy Kobat spent nine years at Cox Automotive, leading a portfolio of businesses, including vAuto, Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer, HomeNet, and Dealertrack DMS. During his tenure there, he delivered unprecedented growth, including multiplying revenue 5x at vAuto and creating the market-leading inventory management software solution and the strongest brand in automotive software. He also held various leadership positions at Trilogy Enterprises, Service Repair Solutions, and CDK Global.

Marcelo D. Mills, Emerging Markets President

In his new role, Marcelo D. Mills will increase and support business relationships throughout Southern Dallas. Mills and his team will work on initiatives that help aspiring entrepreneurs and existing owners. A key priority will be addressing common challenges to growth and ownership, such as financial literacy or language proficiency. The team will focus on growing and underrepresented markets across the metroplex, with an emphasis on Southern Dallas County. The community bank has 30 locations throughout North Texas, serving Collin, Dallas, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Rockwall, Tarrant and Van Zandt Counties. Mills previously served as a founder for Integro Bank, the first community bank to be based in Phoenix since 2008.

Scott Turner, Chief Vision Officer

Scott Turner’s new role will focus on developing and executing a growth and expansion plan. His role involves working closely with the executive leadership team to devise and execute corporate strategy, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with local, state, and federal entities, reinforcing JPI’s position as a thought leader, and promoting a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement. Turner previously played in the NFL for nine years and continues to serve as a senior advisor to the NFL’s executive vice president of football operations. He has also worked at the White House as executive director of its Opportunity and Revitalization Council. He most recently served as chief inspiration officer for SystemWare.

Will Haynes II, Executive Vice President

In his new role within the Dallas office’s Advisory & Transactions Services Team, Will Haynes II will bolster CBRE’s office occupier business, supporting K-12 and higher education, government, and corporate real estate occupiers throughout the metroplex. Haynes joins CBRE from Colliers International, where he served as managing director for Office Occupier Services, in addition to leading its North Texas Education Services practice group. He has represented Dallas College, International Leadership of Texas, Pegasus School of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Birdville Independent School District, and more in real estate transactions.
