As a pioneer in the field of valvular heart surgery, Dr. Dewey performed the first trans-apical aortic valve replacement in the U.S. He is recognized as one of the surgical leaders in the field of minimally invasive valvular heart surgery in the world. Dr. Dewey is the surgical director of structural heart disease at Medical City Heart and Spine Hospital and is a national physician director for cardiovascular surgery for HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s largest healthcare companies.

Dr. Dewey and his extensive team focus on a holistic and patient-centered approach to routine and complex heart conditions. The goal of Dr. Dewey and his team is to extend not only a patient’s lifespan, but also ensure their quality of life.
