Monica Christopher, President, TWU Dallas
TWU has named Monica Christopher as the inaugural president of the university’s Dallas campus, effective February 1. A nonprofit executive and community relations professional, Christopher previously served for 15 years at Communities Foundation of Texas, most recently as the SVP of chief giving and CIO. Christopher was also the senior director of community services for the Dallas Morning News, WFAA, and associated brands from 1999 to 2008. Christopher has served in various other leadership capacities, including in the Dallas Regional Chamber, Dallas Summit, and the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association.

Jim Eagle, Senior Vice President, JLL
Real estate company JLL announced that Jim Eagle will take over as SVP in the company’s Fort Worth office. Eagle has 46 years in the industry and has completed over 900 transactions throughout his career. Eagle has a background in commercial lease deals and property sales, ranging from commercial properties to single-family real estate. Eagle previously led Trammell Crow’s Fort Worth office and has worked for Red Oak Realty and Hammond Eagle Realty Group.

Randy Wood, Executive Vice President, Industrial Leasing
Colliers has hired Randy Wood as executive vice president to focus on industrial services for Agency Leasing to the company’s Dallas-Fort Worth brokerage firm. Wood has over 40 years of experience in commercial real estate and serves as the senior director for Cushman & Wakefield. His primary focus is leasing for institutional clients in the DFW area.

Sharon Pewitt, Director of Marketing, Golden Chick
Fast food chain Golden Chick has welcomed Sharon Pewitt as the company’s director of marketing. Pewitt has nearly a decade of experience in marketing with a focus on the food and beverage industries and previously served as brand manager for Raising Cane’s Plano. Pewitt had previous experience with Golden Chick while working for the LOOMIS Agency, where she served as brand coordinator, assistant account executive, brand manager, and account executive from 2016 to 2022.

UNT Dallas
Bob Mong, President
University of North Texas at Dallas president Bob Mong will retire from the post in July 2024. Mong served as president of UNT Dallas for nine years, leading the administration and campus to grow significantly at the undergraduate and graduate levels. After taking over at the helm in 2015, he guided the graduate numbers to a 90 percent increase and recently was at the forefront of a new state-of-the-art STEM building that broke ground in September of 2023. Beyond that, UNT Dallas will officially announce a new regional law enforcement training facility under Mong’s tenure.

LaVeeta Hamilton, Chief Development Officer
LaVeeta Hamilton will be the new CDO at Interfaith Family Services, overseeing volunteering and marketing efforts, including its robust grant program and bi-annual fundraising events. Hamilton, most notably, spent seven years with Family Promise of Collin County as a program director and executive director. In the latter role, she served to assist families enduring homelessness and those in crisis in Collin County seeking to have self-sustaining financial security through programs. In her new role, Hamilton will also be responsible for raising and maintaining most of the organization’s annual budget and finding new partners.

Billy Naylor, Senior Vice President, National Safety
Billy Naylor takes over as the new senior vice president of national safety at McCarthy Holdings, Inc., a privately held national construction company. Naylor will assume the position from Kevin Maitland. Naylor joined the company in 2006 and was previously vice president of safety for the southern region. With almost 30 years of construction experience, Naylor is a Certified Occupational Specialist and was named TEXO’s Safety Professional of the Year in 2017. He will also assume the role of McCarthy Holdings, Inc. representative for the National Construction Safety Executives (NCSE).

Ben Barnett, Director
Ben Barnett moves into the role of director with commercial real estate firm Greysteel. Barnett spent three years with the firm as a senior associate in investment sales, where he represented buyers and sellers of multi-family investments in Oklahoma and was a licensed sales agent in Texas. As director, he will oversee start-to-finish execution, due diligence process, transaction analysis, and the production and underwriting of offering memoranda.

Kim Parker, Executive Director
Kim Parker is now the executive director of Palladium International, a multi-family real estate developer. Parker was a managing member of The Land Experts for nine years, where the company played a role in nine affordable housing communities totaling 1,440 apartment units. Most notably, she served as the president of RKS Group for two decades.

In his new title as director of real estate transactions for Palladium, Keith Pomykal will oversee transaction oversight while ensuring consistent closure and orchestration. Pomykal served nearly four years with Dynamic Commerical Real Estate in various roles, most recently in the same capacity as his role with Palladium.

The Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors has installed its 2024 board of directors, tapping Blake Barry of Williams Trew Real Estate as board president. Barry has served on the board since 2020 before being named board president for 2024. He began his career as a landman with EOG Resources and Forestar Oil & Gas before transitioning to the real estate industry in 2006 and joining Williams Trew Real Estate in 2015.
