In today’s “Leading Off,” Tim mentioned Best of Big D Award-winning reporter Brandon Formby’s story about DART eyeing a light-rail route through downtown that differs from the one that the Dallas City Council expressed its preference for last year.

Everyone agrees that the mass transit system badly needs another stretch of rail through the city center, but there’s major disagreement over which route that should take. Some advocates are calling for much more money and time to be spent than DART has been planning — in order to take the new line entirely underground and avoid disruptions to the street grid.

What do you think?
