|

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 340 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths on Wednesday.

Dallas Morning News says that a new variant similar to BA.2 is spreading in DFW. However, it is too soon for scientists to know if this will behave like BA.2.

According to NBC DFW, Fauci says that the US is transitioning out of ‘pandemic phase’ of COVID-19. The transition to the virus becoming an endemic disease, means it only shows up regularly in certain areas.

Moderna is seeking FDA authorization for the 4th dose of COVID-19 shot. This would be an additional booster dose for all adults. Moderna is also seeking approval for a vaccine for little kids, which they’re hoping to do so by summer, according to WFAA.

The end of the COVID-19 public emergency may put a stop to expanded health programs according to FOX 4. Things like free testing, free vaccines, telehealth medicine and more might soon come to an end.
