When I Went: June 2012
Was That the Best Time of Year to Go? If you’re a lover of fishing, go during a new moon (June-October). Water is starting to warm up, fish will feed during the day, and the striped Marlin are aplenty. During the summer the striped marlin move out and the blue marlin move in.
Why I Went There: It’s familiar, and there is a secret side of Cabo that is beautiful and amazing and not your run-of-the-mill tourist destination. We don’t stay in the all-inclusive resorts; we rent houses or stay in a small hotels in town within walking distance of the best little hole-in-the-wall bars and restaurants. Cabs are easy to flag down, people are amazing and friendly and there is so much to do. It’s family friendly or it’s the perfect couples retreat.

Other Tips For Fellow Travelers: Best way to go is rent a house in Cabo San Lucas! Don’t stay all-inclusive, as the resorts are 20 minutes from all the action! Staying in town is BEST! We rent from www.vrbo.com. Beautiful condos and houses and so cheap!
