Was Is the Best Time of Year to Go? July/August because it gets really hot so you do not freeze on the beach. Getting more into fall, Coronado is extremely cold in the morning and at night, but in these months, it warms up a little.

We Stayed Here: We use to stay at the Hotel Del Coronado, but in recent years, we have rented a house near the beach.
You Won’t Want to Miss: Definitely visit the Hotel Del Coronado and sign up for a sunset sail, where there are multiple sightings of dolphins. Visit the USS Midway docked in San Diego.
Eat Here: Searsucker, Hotel Del Coronado, Tent City, Tartine
Play Here: The Beach at Hotel Del Coronado. Also, bikes are a must. You can bike anywhere on the island.
