Was That the Best Time of Year to Go? Yes, the weather was beautiful. It only rained twice while we were there. However, the water was cold and rough, so we were unable to participate in some planned activities.
Why I Went There: To get away before the holiday season.

We Stayed Here: Kiahuna Plantation
You Won’t Want to Miss: Rent a car and drive around the entire island. Take the kayak tour down the river and hike to the Secret Falls. It’s so peaceful.
Eat Here: For a fun lunch, eat a Pukadog. For a nice dinner, Keoki’s is the best place. And after every meal, stop at Lappert’s for ice cream.
Play Here: Any part of the beach or a resort pool.
If I Went Again: It was a great trip – no regrets.
How Did You Get There From Dallas? DFW – LAX – Kauai
Other Tips For Fellow Travelers: The people are not extremely friendly, so don’t expect people to give you leis all of the time.
