When I Went: Feb. 2-Mar. 4, 2013

Was That the Best Time of Year to Go? No. I think Christmas would be a great time.

Why I Went There: My husband’s aunt and uncle loved it there, so they took the entire family.

Who Went With Me? My husband and his family.

We Stayed Here: Turtle Island

You Won’t Want to Miss: The island is like no other. You come back a changed person with a different outlook on a lot of things. It’s truly a life-changing experience. The people on the island are amazing and make you feel like you’re family. I do not think there is another resort like it. But if you are afraid of bugs, lizards, or frogs, Turtle Island, Fiji is not for you. If you want to go to a place where you can relax and enjoy every minute of your vacation, this is the vacation to take.

Eat Here: All inclusive with most amazing chefs and foods.

Play Here: Snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding

If I Went Again: Pack differently. There wasn’t anything I could change that would have made it better.

How Did You Get There From Dallas? We flew from Portland, OR to Los Angeles to Nadi, Fiji

Other Tips For Fellow Travelers: I really hope to someday go back. We were fortunate enought to have a family member take us. Not a trip we can budget right now on our own. I would love to go back and visit my new Turtle family.
