The Inn at Dos Brisas, an intimate Relais & Chateaux property, is nestled in the heart of 313 acres of rolling land on the eastern edge of the Texas Hill Country. To stay at Dos Brisas is to truly indulge in luxury. From the L’Occitane en Provence amenities in the bathrooms to the five-star cuisine in the restaurant, every experience here is extravagant.

Each of the grand, 1,795-square-foot hacienda suites has a stone fireplace, plush overstuffed leather furniture, 1,200-thread-count sheets, a separate living room, plunge pool, and butler service. The four casitas are just as lavish, but they are a tad smaller at 750 square feet. Whatever option you choose, you will be hard-pressed to leave your room.

The restaurant was famous for its farm-to-fork cuisine long before the trend took over the nation. There are acres of organic herbs and vegetables planted just for the kitchen’s use. Their dedication to fine, fresh food has earned the restaurant the honor of being the only Forbes 5-Star restaurant in Texas. The Texan-with-a-French-accent cuisine is served on custom Bernardaud china; the wine cellar holds 7,000 bottles.

There are two approaches to experiencing Dos Brisas. If you choose to relax, the spa is ready with healing massages, and you can while away the day wandering through the 150 varieties of roses in the flower garden. At night, they offer telescopes for stargazing. They also host cooking classes, organic gardening seminars, and wine tastings.

If you’d like your visit to be a little more adventurous, you can try your hand at clay target shooting or fish at one of two stocked ponds. The concierge can arrange trips for duck, deer, quail, and hog hunting excursions. Other active options include tennis, biking and hiking, and swimming.

No matter how you choose to spend your time at Dos Brisas, you will leave feeling as if you’ve just taken a royal holiday.
