When I Went: December 18-23, 2010

Was That the Best Time of Year to Go? Went during winter break. It was very nice. However, the water was a little chilly. Might be better during a warmer time of year.

Why I Went There: For a family vacation.

Who Went With Me? Spouse and daughter

We Stayed Here: Coral Towers, Atlantis Resort

[mapimage url=”http%3A%2F%2Fmaps.google.com%2Fmaps%2Fapi%2Fstaticmap%3Fsize%3D200x200%26sensor%3Dfalse%26markers%3DParadise%2520Island%2C%2520The%2520Bahamas%26zoom%3D9%26center%3DNassau%2CThe%2520Bahamas”]You Won’t Want to Miss: Definitely do the Dolphin Swim. See a movie for free in their movie theater, try your luck in the casino, enjoy a margarita at Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill, and watch the yachts come and go along the pier.

Eat Here: All the food was amazing, and there are so many choices from every budget available. Did not have any meal I did not enjoy.

Play Here: So many places to play: 11 pools, four beaches, water rides, dolphin swims, snorkeling, and relaxing. Kids can go to their age-appropriate club while mom and dad see a comedy show or dance in the night club. The Atlantis has it all.

If I Went Again: I would go a different time of year. The water was very chilly.

How Did You Get There From Dallas? American Airlines

Other Tips For Fellow Travelers: The best vacation our family has ever had, and we’ve had a lot.
