DFM Pumpkin Patch
If you are looking for a local Texas pumpkin, the pumpkin patch at the Dallas Farmers Market is the place to go. With more than 25 varieties available for purchase, the options are plentiful for all your pumpkin-picking needs. Don’t miss Texas Pumpkin Day on October 8, where there will be kids’ arts and crafts all day and train rides from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
When: Through Oct. 31. Sunday-Friday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Autumn at the Arboretum
Back for its 17th edition, Autumn in the Arboretum is celebrating the season with year’s theme, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” With over 100,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash, this year’s event features the Peanuts gang and pumpkin house village. General admission costs $20 for adults, $12 for kids (ages 2–12), and anyone under 2 gets in free. Pumpkins can be purchased separately. The festival has timed entries, so book your tickets ahead of time.
When: Through Nov. 5. 9 a.m.–3 p.m. for reservations, 5 p.m.-close daily.

Pumpkin Nights in Arlington
At Pumpkin Nights in Arlington, you will set out on a Halloween walking path far different from anything you’ve experienced. There is a 10-foot-tall jack-o’-lantern, the world’s largest pumpkin guitar, a 40-foot flying handmade dragon, and more. Weekday admission for adults (13 and up) costs $20, while tickets for kids (ages 4–12) costs $15. Everyone 3 and under gets in free. On the weekends, adult admission costs $28 while kids are $20. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time.
When: Through Oct. 30. 6 p.m.–11 p.m. daily.

Pumpkin on the Prairie
Grace Avenue United Methodist Church’s annual pumpkin patch has everything you need to celebrate fall. Alongside the patch that’s open all October, visitors can enjoy various events throughout the month, like a block party, craft night, and more. Face painting is available for children on weekends, and there’s a hayride, bounce house, pumpkin play area, and shaved ice. Admission is free.
When: Sept. 30 through Oct. 31. Monday-Friday 1 p.m.–7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Sunday 10:30 a.m.–7 p.m.

Blase Family Farm
If you are looking for a pumpkin patch the whole family can enjoy, the Blase Family Farm has plenty for everyone to do. Monday through Friday, your admission covers a chance to visit the petting zoo, hayrides, and a pumpkin. On the weekends, admission covers food, as well as a hayride and entry to the petting zoo. Before you go, you must make a reservation for this patch; the cost is $10 for ages 2 and older.
When: Sept. 23 through Oct. 30. Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–6 p.m. , Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Sunday noon–6 p.m.

Lola’s Local Market
In its 10th annual event, Lola’s Local Market brings weekend activities, Sunday vendors, and hearty pumpkins for sale throughout the week at its patch. Featured activities include pumpkin and face painting, a haunted pallet maze, hayrides, and family games. There is a $5 parking fee, but admission is free. Each activity carries with it an individual cost. In addition to the pumpkin patch, the market will be open for goodies and gifts.
When: Sept. 23 through Oct. 29. Wednesday-Thursday 3 p.m.–7 p.m., Friday-Saturday 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Sunday noon–5 p.m.

Cobbins Family Pumpkin Patch
The Cobbins Family Pumpkin Patch features arts and crafts, vendors, concessions, face painting, a magic show, a bounce house, a hay maze, and more. To attend, visitors can purchase tickets at $12 for adults (13 and up), $10 for children (ages 3–12), and free for anyone under 2. A mini pumpkin is included with a ticket for kids ages 3-12.
When: Starting Sept. 30. Saturday-Sunday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Preston Trail Farm
This farm will offer visitors a chance to walk through the patch with pumpkins still on the vine, relax on a hayride, explore a six-foot hay maze, and enjoy a petting zoo—called a “petting farm”—of your favorite barnyard animals. There is also a café and a gift shop for pumpkin patch visitors. Admission is $12 a person on weekdays and $15 on weekends; kids age 2 and under are free.
When: Through Nov. 22. 8 a.m.–8 p.m. daily.

Team Family Farm Pumpkin Patch Festival
At this spot’s seventh annual pumpkin patch festival, you’ll enjoy barrel train rides for the kids, feeding farm animals, and rustic photo ops. Other activities at the Pumpkin Patch Festival include a hay maze, a tube slide, and, natch, pumpkins for purchase. On weekdays, admission costs $12 for everyone age 2 and older. Concessions are available for purchase as well.
When: Sept. 30 through Nov. 5. 10 a.m.–7 p.m. daily.
