This year’s Cutest Pets in Dallas competition has a twist. For the first time, we’re including a few dozen competitors who are available for adoption. We’ve partnered with local organizations like SPCA of Texas, Dallas Pets Alive, and Operation Kindness to showcase dozens of dogs and cats that need forever homes.
Some of these adoptable pets have special needs, like limited mobility, and they’re seeking owners who are willing to give them TLC and a calm environment. Others are young and energetic, and they’d do best with an active owner and a big backyard. No matter what their circumstance, with the right owners and home environments, each of these furry friends is sure to thrive.
Without further ado, let’s meet a few of the adoptable pets. (Check them all out here.)
Archie
Archie is an energetic and friendly guy who loves to run in the yard, play with toys, and snuggle. He enjoys playing rough and rowdy, so another pup who can keep up with him would be great. Archie would do best in a house with adults and a fenced-in yard.
Blue Bell
Blue Bell is sweet, gentle, and loving towards everyone. While he is a young, active Husky, his family will need to make sure he doesn’t overdo it with too much activity. His forever home also needs to carefully monitor his weight to reduce the load that his compromised hips have to carry each day. He promises to give a lifetime of love in return!
Frankie
Frankie is a social, happy cat with a big personality. He loves playing with toys and catching the attention of his friends. He’s an excellent companion who will lie next to you as you work or encourage you to get up and play.
Raylyn
Operation Kindness describes Raylyn as the “perfect dog.” She has impeccable manners, the sweetest personality, and a complete tolerance for wearing silly costumes. Raylyn is a delight to be around and would bring joy to any home.
Mary
Meet Mary! She is a true Southern belle, who is house trained and crate trained, and who walks well on a leash and knows her commands. She’s a little shy at first but once you get to know her, she’ll never leave your side. As an affectionate girl, she loves cuddling with her people on the couch.
Stumpy
Stumpy is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She is potty trained, loves barbecues, and will smile when she is content. She has an amazing personality that will make a great addition to your family.
Trixie
Trixie is a lovable cat who is looking for a family. She has a delightful chirp when she is happy, and she spends her days purring and looking out of the window.
