Kendra Scott Introduces a Men’s Collection

Kendra Scott’s jewelry has graced the ears and necks of Dallas women for years. Now, men can shop pieces from the Texas-based brand, too. Scott Bros. launched earlier this month and includes pieces made from stones, leather cords, paracords, and vinyl beads. This collection is poignant for Kendra Scott, the founder, designer, and executive chairwoman of the jewelry brand, because it was designed with input from her sons. “I’ve been a jewelry designer as long as I’ve been a mom,” she says. “As my boys have grown, so has this business. Back in the day, they would come to the office and go ‘treasure hunting’ for beads stuck in the cracks of our wood floors. To now design a collection with them is truly a full-circle moment for me.” Prices start at $68, and proceeds from select pieces in the collection will support the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Art Therapy Program. Fluevog Shoes Arrives in Deep Ellum

Designer John Fluevog is putting down roots in Dallas. Fluevog Shoes opened its doors in Deep Ellum, next door to Jade & Clover, last weekend. The brand’s eccentric footwear–metallic blue loafers, hot pink clogs, and green suede Chelsea boots, to name a few–are not for the faint of heart, which explains the celebrity fans Fluevog has accrued, like Lady Gaga and Madonna. Beyoncé even donned a pair of Fluevog boots in her ‘Formation’ music video. Most pairs fall in the $200 to $400 range, and styles are available in both men’s and women’s sizes. Stop in to shop at 2633 Main Street, #130, Monday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunshine Tienda Shop Launches a Beachwear Collection

Sisters Laura and Amanda Ernst co-founded Sunshine Tienda Shop to produce beautiful handmade accessories with a purpose. The brand employs skilled artisans in Vietnam, Guatemala, and India. While the Ernst sisters take the lead on designing each collection, their artisan partners often lend their expertise when it comes to selecting the materials.

Sunshine Tienda’s jewelry is handmade in Vietnam, and the process celebrates the Vietnamese tradition of transforming ethically sourced, recycled buffalo horns into colorful statement pieces. Meanwhile, the brand’s partnership with artisans in Guatemala has created sustainable careers for more than 40 women who handcraft each hat from harvested palm fronds and weave their colorful hatbands on looms.

Now, Sunshine Tienda is making its first foray into apparel with a light and airy summer beach collection made from 100 percent cotton. Each sarong and dress is designed in Dallas and produced in India. Many of the designs include block-printed patterns, a textile dyeing technique that has been used in India for centuries. Shop the entire summer collection here.
