The voting portion of our Cutest Pets in Dallas competition is about to begin, and we can’t wait to see which dog, cat, rabbit, frog, turtle, or other four-legged friend will take home the crown. The contest is capped at 1,000 entrants, and it’s filling up fast. If you haven’t yet submitted your pet, now’s the time to do so.

We took a spin through the entries, and the competition is fierce. Yes, there are Labradoodles and Yorkies aplenty, but dozens of feline entrants and a handful of exotic pets round out the group.

Your pet will go up against competitors like these:

  • Almond-Butter, a one-year-old Ridgeback/Boxer mix
  • Meatball, a delightfully chunky English bulldog
  • Hannibal, a friendly box turtle
  • Ethan Beauregard Badillo, III, a dapper Morkie
  • Blanche Devereaux, a sophisticated ragdoll cat
  • Cristal, a golden Betta fish
  • Chalupa Batman, a rare mix of chihuahua and husky
  • Piggy, a white mini pig with a bright pink snout

Does your furry companion have what it takes to win? There’s only one way to find out. Submit them here; entries close today, so don’t wait.

The voting portion of our Cutest Pets in Dallas competition begins June 1 and closes June 22. Every competitor will have a custom link to share with family and friends. The competition is free to enter; all you need is a vertical image of your pet.

We’ll be crowning two winners, a Readers’ Choice pick and a Judges’ Choice pick. The pet who receives the most votes in the competition will be our Readers’ Choice winner. The top 20 pets that receive the most votes will move on to our voting panel, where esteemed in-house pet experts will decide on an Editors’ Choice winner.

This year’s prizes include a professional photoshoot with a D Magazine photographer, a full-page spotlight in the August issue of D Magazine, a “Get to Know our Winners” article posted on dmagazine.com, and a post on D Magazine’s Instagram.
