‘The Real Housewives of Dallas’ is Apparently Casting for Season 5

Despite low ratings, the franchise forges on.

As it currently stands, “The Real Housewives of Dallas” is the lowest rated Housewives franchise on Bravo. To be clear, it does not have the distinction of being the lowest rated show on Bravo. I believe that might belong to a one-season wonder my ex-boyfriend was on called “Unanchored.” Tough stuff all around.

Does “RHOD” deserve its dismal ratings? I don’t think so. We may not have the star power of Beverly Hills, but I’d pit our lamest plotline against PuppyGate any day. Plus, I think we have some real rising stars in the form of Brandi, Kameron, and Stephanie, a woman I would inexplicably watch read the dictionary.

Thankfully, Bravo seems to be giving Dallas another chance, as evidenced by an Instagram flyer making a call for Season 5 Housewives hopefuls. Or, more specifically, “upscale, affluent, dynamic women living fabulous and glamorous lives.” I actually believe this to be valid despite the suspect looking “[email protected].”

I have no idea how Bravo casting calls work. If I remember correctly, there was a casting call between seasons 2 and 3 but no shakeup at all. Honestly, this may not even mean we get another season, but if we do, what are your suggestions?

Should LeeAnne go the Camille Grammer route and be demoted to “Friend?”

Should we swap new Kary for old Cary?

Should we try to find someone who can represent both Dallas affluence and our city’s ranking as the fifth most diverse city in the nation?

Should I get a life?

Feel free to sound off in the comments!
