Tamara Mellon (a Meghan Markle Favorite) is Popping Up in Highland Park Village

You probably know the name “Tamara Mellon.” Since the brand’s launch in 2016, you may have spotted one of designer’s namesake heels out and about on stylish Instagrammers, or on frequent wearer Meghan Markle. There have a cool Stiletto Cream collaboration with luxe CBD brand Lord Jones. During Breast Cancer Awareness month, the brand offered complimentary mammograms in Los Angeles and San Francisco, which they promoted with the brilliant slogan “Know Your Mellons.”

That described my awareness of Tamara Mellon at least. But when their team announced they’d be stopping by Highland Park Village from Wednesday to Sunday of this week, I educated myself a bit more.

Tamara Mellon is way more than just a buzzy, direct-to-consumer brand. When Mellon exited her role at Jimmy Choo (which she co-founded in 1996), her goal was to build a female-led brand. All collections are designed by women, and new products are dropped monthly (so fresh styles can be worn immediately). And though they’re made in some of the best, family-run factories in Italy, you won’t see any retail markups on Tamara Mellon products.

You also won’t find the shoes in any Dallas boutiques (the brand is predominately sold online). Thankfully, Tamara Mellon is bringing their luxurious shoe closet on the road, stopping at Highland Park Village from November 6 to Sunday, November 10. The chic truck, which will be parked between Celine and Balenciaga, features floor-to-ceiling glass panels, and the brand’s most popular silhouettes. Click here to RSVP.
