A Farewell to The Loveliest

One of the prettiest stores in Dallas is closing up shop (and hosting a farewell sale).

I imagine The Loveliest, with its stylish assortment of Turkish towels, Moroccan blankets, pressed linens, Ikat pillows, and an endless array of elegant and candy colored embroidery options, was beloved by a lot of people, but the shop held a special place in my heart.

It was one of the first boutiques I ever wrote about during my time at D Magazine. After paying a visit to their historic, white-painted carriage house in Uptown, I visited over and over again for personalized gifts or pieces that I currently cherish in my own home. Every purchase felt like you were buying into the chic, carefully curated vision of sisters Britni and Kelsey Wood and their mother, Joni, who were—naturally—the loveliest.

Last year, The Loveliest swapped their historic Uptown home for GAIA Empowered Women’s Cedar Springs studio, placing more focus on pop-ups and shop-in-shops across the country. However, all good things must come to an end. The Loveliest gals are moving on to new projects, per their Instagram below. The silver lining: an online sale (using the code “FAREWELL” for 25 percent off all products) happening now through November 1.

The Loveliest says farewell. We have loved every minute of the four and a half years we owned this little piece of heaven. Being a part of your lives, your gifting, your home beautifying…it has all been a dream. The Loveliest has always been a family business. We all renovated the darling carriage house that was our first home, complete with the infamous pink door. When a website was in order, we, alongside our wonderful Jeremy, toiled away in the wee hours creating our online home. We have personally stitched and wrapped every item that left our doors, and we’ve loved every minute. Friends who joined our Loveliest team quickly became family and we are so grateful for them. The Loveliest will become the home for Kelsey’s design work and gorgeous Oushaks while Britni will return to her beloved photo styling and Joni will keep her hands full with new grand babies. It is goodbye for now, but we’ll see you again soon. All our love for your support and patronage. Shop our FAREWELL SALE in store and online now until November 1st for 25% OFF all products. Quantities are limited. Use code: FAREWELL
