LOCAL Returns / Your Saturday Morning Market
After taking a break during the dog days of summer, Highland Park Village’s LOCAL artisan market is back to kick off a new season from 9am to 1pm this Saturday. The Flower Gals and their ’60s VW truck will be in attendance, along with more than 25 vendors offering gourmet goods, jewelry, ceramics, and small batch apothecary products. A few favorites will be returning (LemonGlaze and Jelly Queens forever), but newbies include The Bohemian Shepherdess’ organic bath and body products and HighPoint Supply Co.’s goods that give back.
Fall Block Walk / Your Saturday Afternoon Market
The shops, bakeries, and bars of TyPo (a very fun abbreviation for Oak Cliff’s Tyler and Polk streets) are coming together for a Fall Block Walk this Saturday. From 2pm to 6pm, drop in for music, tacos, White Claws (summer’s not over yet!), and to celebrate the anniversaries of Beatnik Fine Goods (see details below) and DLM Supply, who will be offering 20 percent off everything in store.
*Should you ever get tired of shopping, there really are so many good fitness events this weekend, including a mini festival at Ferris Wheelers that’s all about empowering women (it’s called, appropriately and amazingly, Lilith Ferris).
