I get asked what the best facial in Dallas at least once a month. The answer always depends on what you’re looking for. If it’s a go-to spot to make routine facials a habit, Face Haus was tailor-made for that. House of Preservation is one of the few local spots that offers broadband light (BBL) photofacials, and Enlighten Med Spa has a salt facial that (though the experience isn’t exactly relaxing) practically gave me a new face.

But when you’re looking for a place to really treat yourself and your complexion, The Joule is where it’s at. It’s also, literally, the only place where Codage, a coveted French skincare line, is at. Back in January, I got the spa’s customized Nutri-Element Facial at The Joule to get my skin right for the New Year, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. It was relaxing and wonderful, of course (shout out to esthetician Lory for one of the best facial massages I’ve had), but the Codage of it all was pretty fascinating. The line was super simple and beautiful, with enough of a science-y (that’s the technical term, right?) element to corroborate its high-performing claims. There are just 11 serums, each with active ingredients, that can be mixed or layered together for whatever your skin diagnosis may be. (See, science-y!)

The Nutri-Element Facial is, blessedly, always available, but the “My Codage Lab Event,” where you can get a consultation with one of Codage’s lead estheticians, takes place this Friday, from 10am to 7pm at The Joule.
