Did you know Valentine’s Day is almost here? I mean, it’s a week from today, so it’s practically now. It’s upon us, as is the onslaught of Valentine’s Day-related activities and Instagram posts. There’s a lot to take in, and a lot to consider attending (we’ll have a whole bunch of food- and activity-related events for you on the site tomorrow), so it’s something when an event stands out.

Tonight, Magic Hour and Beatnik, two women-owned shops in Oak Cliff situated just a stone’s throw away from one another, are teaming up for a very cool-looking Valentine’s adjacent event. Photographer Kelly Christine Sutton will be there hosting a polaroid portrait session (a fitting medium on the eve of Ariana Grande’s album launch—she loves a polaroid!), Jacob Young will be tattooing, and the Flower Gals will be bouqet-ing. There will be wine and sweet treats, of course, because what is Valentine’s Day if not a perfect excuse for drinking on a week night.

Anyway, this one sounds fun, and takes place from 5 to 8pm tonight.
