Friday, April 21st the 17th annual Chick Lit Luncheon presented by Dr. Robert and Lara Tafel welcomed more than 1,100 guests to enjoy a spirited conversation between NBC 5’s Laura Harris and featured speaker, Lisa Vanderpump while raising funds for Community Partners of Dallas. Funds from the luncheon help our community’s most vulnerable abused and neglected children and the caseworkers who serve them.

In addition to a hilarious discussion, the festive afternoon also included special recognition to celebrate the agency’s longtime CEO, Paige McDaniel, before she retires in May after 21 years of service. Highlights included a touching tribute video as well as the integration of many of her favorite things from the menu to the goody bag.

Community Partners of Dallas is abundantly grateful to all the luncheon sponsors and to the guests who gave generously and helped secure a $100,000 match to benefit the children. Additionally, they thank their fabulous event leadership team: Honorary Chair, Debbie Scripps; Co-Chairs Sally Dutter and Beth Thoele; and Underwriting Chairs Lacie Crow and Noelle LeVeaux.

Please visit communitypartnersdallas.org for additional ways to give or get involved to provide what abused children urgently need today to thrive tomorrow.
