The search for the perfect place that offers “something for everyone” begins and ends with City Works Frisco. Conveniently located at The Star in Frisco with an expansive patio that overlooks the Ford Center and enough big-screen HDTVs that make it impossible to miss game-day action, City Works is a high-energy, elevated casual spot for date night, happy hour, game-watching parties (any game, but Cowboys-watching parties here are unbeatable), private events, and special celebrations.

The vibrant, two-level restaurant-meets-sports-bar covers 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space and features multiple patios, 26 extra-large HDTVs with state-of-the-art audio, and a live DJ on Saturday nights. On game day, City Works turns up the volume—literally. You won’t miss a sound or second of the game, and the energetic music sets the tone for a good time. Sink into a luxe leather booth inside, grab a seat at the bar, or bring the whole crew and gather around a large table on the outdoor patio. This is the choose-your-own-experience place you’ve been waiting for.

Drink

Take your pick from 90 beers and eight wines on tap. There are more than 30 local breweries represented, but if you can’t decide on a beer, sample several with the restaurant’s signature beer flights. Take note–the wine on tap is stored just like the beer, guaranteeing fresh wine from the first glass to the last. No oxidation, no corkage, and no spoilage mean no waste. Enjoy by-the-glass, half- beaker, or full-beaker pours. City Works also specializes in traditional drinks with a twist, from mules to margaritas, and creates a fresh cocktail menu each season. Those who prefer to sip and savor will appreciate the fully stocked bar with a variety of spirits, including a robust whiskey list.

Eat

City Works features made-from-scratch, classic American dishes–again with a few unique twists. The innovative new menu features hearty hand-held items, fresh salads, tacos, an extensive list of shareables, from duck nachos to a loaded baked potato flatbread, and main entrees not normally found in a sports bar, such as salmon, pork chops, ahi tuna, steaks, pastas, and creative takes on mac-and-cheese. Late night, the kitchen stays open with a menu of fun bar bites and specially priced cocktails to enjoy while partying along with a live DJ on Saturday nights.

Brunch

Not to be missed is City Works’ legendary Rock ‘N’ Roll Weekend Brunch hosted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Rock classics are played while guests sample a menu of aptly named items that honor rock songs and rock legends, like the Jon Bun Jovi, a warm jumbo cinnamon roll; Donut Stop Believin’, powdered sugar-coated doughnuts with chocolate hazelnut sauce and mixed-berry jam; Sweet Child O’ Mine, stuffed brioche French toast with Bailey’s cream cheese battered with vanilla bean ice cream and served with a mixed-berry compote; and Chimi Hendrix, a breakfast chimichanga with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, green onion, pico de gallo, smoked cheddar, and chipotle salsa roja all in a fried flour tortilla and served with a side of cheesy potato casserole. Wash it all down with a mimosa flight, of course.
