This summer, Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas is offering an exciting alternative to traditional virtual programs for Dallas-area girls entering 1st through 8th grades! In these live, interactive courses, girls will make new friends while learning about topics such as safe social media, STEM, and physical and emotional well-being. Girls will gain valuable skills, build community, and learn to lead!

Girls Inc. Dallas has also created a new program focused on diversity and inclusion. In this course, girls explore concepts such as fairness, identity, and intersectionality. This course aims to equip girls to discuss differences, deepen understanding, and grow self-esteem.

A mother of one student explained that Girls Inc. programming has been a source of encouragement and support for her daughter during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I see a difference in my child with the classes. She is happier, she is engaged, and she is learning,” she said. “With two working parents and limitations on how much we can fully engage with her, it is hard to keep her learning and keep her spirits up during quarantine. I hope you are able to continue the classes. They are a real gem!”

Girls Inc.’s mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Through research-based programs and an all-girl environment, Girls Inc. encourages girls to grow into young women who are prepared to make a positive difference in their lives, their families, and the world.
