Remarkable Ranch Renovation Might Just Be the Best of Both Dallas Worlds

Strolling the prestigious West Highland Park area of Dallas, it’s hard to tell the difference between it and Highland Park Proper. (Spoiler alert: it’s JUST the Dallas North Tollway.) Hence, that’s what makes this renovated ranch at 3807 North Versailles Avenue so special. You can take a picturesque walk through Park Cites in one direction and walk for Oak Lawn brunch, groceries, and shopping in the other.

There is truly nowhere else in the Highland Park area that you can get a five-bedroom, four-bathroom home boasting over 4,000 square feet for less than a million. Not only that, but the updating on this 1978 construction has already been done for you. The renovations, which took place throughout 2018 and 2019, include new wood floors, kitchen and bathroom updates, new landscaping, and refreshed interior and exterior paint. Shall we take a deep dive into our favorite aspects of the home?

For starters, we love a large circle drive. There is just something about rolling up to this address that feels special. Perhaps it’s the mature trees that give this home a sense of having withstood the test of time. Whatever the case may be, the current owners definitely have the curb appeal under control. Is there such a thing as move-in ready landscaping? If so, this place has it.

Once inside the home, it instantly hits you how high the ceilings are. Like—wait a minute—are we really in a rancher? The open floorplan features the updated kitchen with its stainless steel appliances and a walk-in pantry that is ideal for storing “all the things.” This space transitions effortlessly into the living area that is just waiting for a big screen, Netflix, and a cozy fire.

We also cannot get over the oversized master bedroom, which measures in at 29×20 feet. Its master bath includes dual vanities, three (yes, three) walk-in closets, and a stand-alone tub area that truly looks like it is a room in and of itself. The pictures do not do this space justice. A fifth bedroom has endless options. Think nursery, office, game room, media room, etc.

The only thing that this house is missing is a new owner’s personal touch because the sellers have left the home as a blank canvas on which a new family can paint their personality. So what are you waiting for? Time to sign into Pinterest—you’ve got a new house to decorate.
