Face of Premier Early Education: Pratiksha Rigley

Every great product, service, or company has an interesting story, and that story is best told by the people behind its success. Meet Rigley, owner of 5 Primrose Schools.

The reason Dr. Pratiksha Rigley, owner of five Dallas-area Primrose Schools, understands the childcare needs of working parents is because she was one. After owning several Primrose Schools since 2008, she has learned even more about the needs of today’s working families—in particular, that many parents who work in downtown Dallas continue to struggle with a work/life balance. “So many moms and dads have to leave work early in order to get to the suburbs to pick up their children from daycare,” Rigley says. “Just having that one extra hour to finish work is invaluable. It means you can leave work, pick up your child, and come home and enjoy your family time without work distractions.”

Rigley and her husband, Dr. Noel Rigley, are addressing this issue by opening a Primrose School in downtown Dallas, near Klyde Warren Park. In addition to incorporating nursing rooms so that moms can come feed their babies during the workday, the location will also be convenient for parents to pick up their babies during lunch and go for a stroll in the park or check in when they need to. “Parents shouldn’t feel guilty about wanting to focus on their careers and have a family,” Pratiksha says. “A healthy balance is good for the parents and the children. Parents deserve peace of mind that their child is in the right place. Being able to live and work in the same area is important for today’s busy families.”

The Primrose mission statement that “who children become is as important as what they know” is evident in each location. The Rigleys are passionate about focusing on what kind of human beings the children in their care will become. They are involved in giving back to the community through several charitable organizations and believe it is their role as leaders to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children. “Early childhood education is so important in the first five years,” Pratiksha says. “Everything we do comes back to creating a home away from home for our students and families.”
