Tips for Planning Your Next Special Occasion

And why you need to book your event at Bob’s Steak & Chop House.

When planning a private party or a celebration for a special occasion, of all the things to keep in mind, remember this above all else: “No one celebrates with chicken.”

Bob’s Steak & Chop House, the best cut in town, invites you, instead, to celebrate it all with 100 percent prime steaks. It’s what has long separated Bob’s from the rest of the steakhouses in town. It’s also one of the few prime steakhouses in Dallas that includes a potato side dish, plus a signature giant carrot, in its menu price, making each dish a complete and impressive display for guests.

“Let us do all the work for you. Tell us your preference and your budget, and we’ll take it from there.

Everyone who books a private event at Bob’s has access, at no extra charge, to a private dining manager who will guide you through the event planning process. From setting the tone by enlisting the expertise of a sommelier to help you select the right wines to meet a variety of tastes and budgets to coordinating decorations, their goal is to make sure your event is special and memorable. There are no “price fixe” special occasion menus at Bob’s, either, which means you’ll pay based only on consumption. And, of course, all special occasions should be topped off with dessert, so it’s a good thing their famous cheesecake and key lime pie are always crowd-pleasers. Extra perks–each Bob’s location has several private dining rooms equipped with the state-of-the-art AV equipment, plus complimentary valet.*

The best part of dining at Bob’s, whether for a private event or “just because,” is that you always feel like you’re walking into your best friend’s home. It’s a familiar, welcoming environment that promises a good time right when you step through the front door and hear the signature chopping of a martini. “We don’t think dining out should cause anyone to feel anxious or nervous,” says Bryan Hantes, corporate director of operations for Bob’s Steak & Chop House. “Our staff at each location is knowledgeable and professional, but also fun. We want you to come in, relax, and enjoy the experience.”

If you are in the early stages of planning an event to celebrate a special occasion, Hantes recommends the following three tips to ensure success:

  1. Start planning early. “At Bob’s, we start booking holiday events sometimes a year in advance,” he says. “To ensure you get the room or location you want, reserve it as soon as possible.”

  2. All locations are different. If a restaurant, such as Bob’s, has multiple locations, keep in mind they don’t all look the same or have the same vibe or feel. “Each Bob’s location has its own identity,” he says. “Everyone seems to have a favorite. You may book the restaurant based on location, but you may also consider what works best with the theme of the event or reason for your celebration.”

  3. Trust your private dining manager. They have the job for a reason and will make recommendations based on what works best for your needs. “Take advantage of the service,” Hantes says. “Let us do all the work for you. Tell us your preference and your budget, and we’ll take it from there. We do this 365 days a year and always keep our clients’ best interests in mind. And remember, a wise man once told me….no one celebrates with chicken!”

*Complimentary valet not available at the Dallas Bob’s location on Lemmon Avenue.
