It’s Not Too Late to Live the Lake Granbury Good Life This Summer

How far away is your ideal vacation home? It should be close enough for convenience, yet far enough to feel like a true escape. It’s nice to be one with nature and “unplug” while on vacation, but perhaps not in a truly rural cabin–a big screen and a nice kitchen are always welcome features. Insert the gorgeous lake property at 3927 Laramie Drive in De Cordova, Texas, just off of the shores of Lake Granbury. The drive clocks in at one hour and twenty minutes from downtown Dallas. This just might be the perfect place to unwind, no matter what your idea of a great weekend away is.

This 2011 construction is located amongst mature, maintained trees in the De Cordova Bend Estates neighborhood. The home offers 3,073 square feet, three bedrooms, and four bathrooms. This unique layout is set over two lots, and despite a “newish” construction date, the property has the maturity and charm of a place that has been around for a quite some time. No “new construction sticks out like a sore thumb” vibes here. It’s not directly on the lake, but it is just minutes from the De Cordova marina, country club, golf course, and more.

No details have been spared in this designer home. Think hand-scraped red oak floors, high ceilings, and an ideal open floor plan. There are multiple spaces to entertain, including the kitchen, living room, and media room. A large laundry room will most likely be designated as the first place to drop all dirty clothing after fun and adventurous days out on the boat. Yep, it’s no coincidence that in a world where second-story laundry rooms have become ever-popular, this one remains downstairs (and by a back door).

Outside the main home, the property has several notable bonus features. For starters, there’s a three-person, F5-rated tornado shelter. The garage apartment is equipped with a kitchenette and full bathroom. In fact, the fully insulated and air-conditioned garage itself could easily be converted into a room if needed. In addition to the large garage, there is an additional spot for a second car, or perhaps a golf cart.

The grounds of this special property might be its biggest selling point. Imagine sitting on the patio, sipping a glass of wine, listening to the birds chirp on a beautiful day–it’s like a personal slice of heaven. Add a professionally designed pool and water feature, and you can live the lake life from home, too.
