Energy is high at Bentwood of Dallas. The Lovers Lane showroom is abuzz with new installations showcasing the latest in materials and appliances. Owner Colin Snider is particularly excited about Porcelana, Bentwood’s new porcelain-faced cabinetry collection. “It’s exclusive to us, and it’s really coming on strong,” he says. Not only is the material gorgeous—some of the selections actually resemble linen—Snider says it is perfect for cabinets. “It’s waterproof, sunproof, burn resistant, easy to clean, and NSF approved.” It’s an ideal look for modern-loving clients who often incorporate it with a very thin countertop. “It’s the ‘less is more’ mentality,” he says.
For the more traditional client, Snider touts the new Ceruse finishes he has available. “These finishes require a multiple-step process to achieve the effect of a rubbed-in and textured look. It’s embedded deep in the wood grain with the color a client chooses,” he says. Clients can select a base paint color that is then enhanced with four different finishes mixed together. “Bentwood created the process,” he says.
In addition to an array of cabinetry, Bentwood also offers integrated lighting solutions executed by on-staff professionals. They also have the latest in appliances, including new offerings from Sub-Zero/Wolf such as the induction cooktop, steam oven, and coffee machine.
