Dwell with Dignity’s Thrift Studio LIVE Is Now Open
Dwell with Dignity, a nonprofit that transforms homes for families in need, just launched its semi-annual Thrift Studio LIVE fundraising event. Last year’s shopping experience was virtual. This year, shoppers can browse deeply discounted high-end home goods both online and in person. As always, all proceeds will support the nonprofit’s mission of changing lives through design. Dwell with Dignity is working hard to champion diversity and inclusion in the design world, and this year, each Thrift Studio LIVE event will feature a designer of color. Zara Taitt, Senior Interior Designer and Executive of Operations at Jan Showers & Associates, is the first. Taitt styled a serene vignette with a pretty spring palette for the spring shopping event, which runs until April 30 in West Village. Schedule an appointment to shop on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Deep Ellum Patagonia Store Is Now Welcoming Walk-In Shoppers
Patagonia‘s second Texas storefront (the first is in Austin) has been open for several months on Deep Ellum’s Main Street, but it’s finally welcoming shoppers to browse in person. The 6,500-square-foot space carries apparel and sports gear for men, women, and children. It also serves as a venue for community events like yoga classes and composting workshops. Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia Is Coming to Highland Park Village
Stacey Bendet, the CEO and creative director of womenswear brand Alice + Olivia, is set to make her first personal appearance in Texas. Next Thursday, April 29, Bendet will appear at the Alice + Olivia boutique in Highland Park Village for an in-store event, alongside Nicky Hilton, Bendet’s close friend, and Tina Craig, the Dallasite behind the blog Bag Snob. Stop in from 6 to 8 p.m. at 7B Highland Park Village to mingle with Bendet and shop the line’s spring collection. 10 percent of the event’s proceeds will benefit the North Texas Food Bank.
Estelle Colored Glass Is Open in Fort Worth
Stephanie Summerson Hall, the founder of Estelle Colored Glass, named her brand in honor of her grandmother Estelle, an antiquing enthusiast and longtime collector of colored glass. The South Carolina-based home décor line includes a mix of pastel and jewel-toned stemware, glassware, and cake stands in vintage-inspired shapes. After successful pop-ups in North Texas, Hall decided that a permanent showroom was a logical next step. Now, her high-end, hand-blown glass pieces can be shopped in person in Fort Worth’s Sundance Square. Appointments are required to enter the showroom at 112 East 4th Street. Legacy West Adds Five High-End Storefronts
For decades, Highland Park Village has been the go-to North Texas destination for high-end shopping. Mixed-use retail destination Legacy West is about to change the game. The Plano shopping district will welcome five luxury retailers this spring. The first, Gucci, opened on April 16. Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Tory Burch, and Chanel Beauty are slated to open next.
