There’s something deeply satisfying about knocking out your holiday shopping out from the comfort of your bed. The gifts often arrive beautifully wrapped and you can avoid all the daunting perils of parking. So yeah, go ahead and cross some names off your list using Amazon — at least 70 percent of shoppers will be doing just that this year.

But if you’re willing to brave brick-and-mortar shopping, a visit to some of Dallas’ charming, independently-owned shops can certainly lift your spirits. If the special incentives weren’t enough (free gift wrapping, in-store cocktails, festive activities, etc.), we’ve got the photographic evidence to prove it.
