In a case of Instagram influencing art which will probably influence Instagram, Neiman Marcus recently enlisted social media-famous Elias Weiss Friedman (aka @TheDogist) to shoot their fall shoe and handbag campaign. Friedman, who’s been called a Brandon Stanton for dogs, currently boasts 2.7 million Instagram followers and is behind the New York Times Best Seller, The Dogist, but the Neiman Marcus campaign marks the first time he’s integrated a style component into his photography. “Working with dogs is a challenge in itself that I’ve come to master on a few levels,” Friedman says. “But integrating shoes, bags, and outfits into the images without stealing the dog’s spotlight was an entirely new challenge.”
The result is a lighthearted take on a fall campaign, and a fantastic reason for you to take a moment out of this crazy, hectic life and look at some charming New York dogs — it’s in the name of fashion!
