Valentine’s Day has always ruled the month of February, filled with heart-shaped candies, oversized stuffed animals, and roses to commemorate the love between you and your significant other. But instead of only celebrating romantic relationships, shine a light on the friendships in your life.

Created by Parks Recreation’s Leslie Knope, Galentine’s Day is observed on Feb. 13 as a day dedicated to celebrating and nourishing your female friendships.

But why limit your love for your gals to just one day? We have a few ideas on how to celebrate Galentine’s Day in Dallas, from brunch and yoga to chocolate and shopping.

Fit Fun

The Preston Hollow Pure Barre is hosting a Galentine’s Day celebration from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 14. The class will feature a power-hour of Beyoncé jams to keep you moving. Go get fit with your ladies and then treat yourself to a box of chocolate-covered strawberries afterwards. You earned it.

Start your Saturday off with Yoga & Breakfast at the Dallas Farmers Market. V12 Yoga will walk participants through a vinyasa flow to get you energized and ready for a day of celebrating your girlfriends. Laili, the featured restaurant, will serve egg skillet wraps, custard French toast, and a choice of Turkish or American coffee or tea.

Host a Party

If you are wanting to keep things low-key this year, have your gals over for a relaxing evening full of pajamas, sweets, and classic rom-coms. Dude, Sweet Chocolate’s “Tub of Love” spread, Joy Macaron party favors, and Kate Weiser Chocolate Liquor Truffle Collection are a few Dallas-based treat companies to indulge in with your best friends.

Show Some Love

Just Hit Send, the Dallas-based curated gift company, has solved your gift-giving woes this Galentine’s Day. Their Circle Seven Five box was specifically created for the holiday and features a cosmetic bag, trinket tray, heart sparkler and Muah! matchbox.

Sweet Treats

Fellow chocoholics, rejoice. CocoAndré Chocolatier is throwing a Galentine’s Bash on Feb. 11 with chocolate galore. Free cocktails, savory snacks, chocolate tastings, craft stations, and more will give you and your gals plenty to celebrate.

Sip and Shop

Stop by TenOverSix at the Joule Hotel on Feb. 10 for the VADA Jewelry Trunk Show with founder Katie Caplener. The day features their Spring 2017 and vintage collections. Unique cocktails will be poured throughout by Midnight Rambler.

Forty Five Ten will be hosting a pop-up with leather goods company Leatherology Feb. 10 – Feb. 11. On-site monogramming, complimentary personalization of any Leatherology product and a plethora of products and colors will give you plenty of ways to shower your galentine’s with leather love.

Local Love

Little D Valentine’s Market is bringing a little bit of love to The Coterie on Feb. 11. The mini-pop up will feature local craft goods, food, workshops and entertainment. Spend the afternoon getting goodies for your squad and supporting local vendors.

Join fellow Dallasites on Feb. 11 at Klyde Warren Park for Hearts in the Park, for some good ol’ fun and a whole lot of animals. Activities include dance lessons, a puppy parade, Dallas Zoo animals and a screening of Beauty and The Beast. Two words: puppy parade.
