Last October, we announced that the most adorable person to ever impersonate June Carter Cash would be opening a store in Dallas. This week, Reese Witherspoon paid us a visit to celebrate the second location of her Southern clothing store, Draper James, in Highland Park Village. The result was understandably Instagram-worthy. Reese has graced our social feeds with many a Dallasite over the past few days, painting quite a picture of her time in Texas.

Here, we’ve strung together a photo-filled narrative of her visit to Dallas, and paired each moment with an applicable quote by Elle Woods, because Reese Witherspoon, y’all.

Tuesday, September 27

Reese announces her arrival to our fair city with a new image from Dallas native Gray Malin. We can only imagine she was carrying this “Vote Y’all” tote after the frenzy surrounding the first presidential debate of the night before.

What Would Elle Say: “This is gonna be just like senior year, except for funner!”

Reese quickly threw on some fierce red lipstick and donned he best bedazzled collar (not unlike this one)  to attend a FEED Supper hosted by Highland Park Village’s Elisa Summers and Ray Washburne. Once there, she posed for pics with the CEO and co-founder of FEED Projects Lauren Bush Lauren.

and Kimberly Schlegel Whitman …

and Tina Craig …

and, of course, Gray Malin.

What Would Elle Say: “Hi. I’m Elle Woods, and this is Bruiser Woods. We’re both Gemini vegetarians.”

Wednesday, September 28

Like the loyal sorority sisters who supported Elle on her journey to Harvard Law School, Dallas bloggers joined Reese for a champagne brunch in her chic Highland Park Village shop.

What Would Elle Say: “Do you remember when we spent those four amazing hours in the hot tub together after winter formal? Well this is so much better than that! Excuse me, I have some shopping to do.”

Next, Reese dropped by Girls Inc. for a circle time chat, where she offered young Dallas women some solid advice about navigating the business world (you can view the live feed on Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas’ Facebook page).

What Would Elle Say: “I don’t need back-ups. I’m going to Harvard.”

That evening, Reese put on a party dress inspired by the Kessler Theater for another opening celebration in Highland Park Village.

Country singer Jessi Alexander gave a special performance.

Fashion illustrator Rongrong was on hand to live sketch the guests.

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Charlotte Jones Anderson and Roger Staubach were in attendance.

As was Reese’s stunning daughter/doppelganger Ava.

And with that flurry of Southern sayings, champagne cocktails, and bold prints, the perfectly coiffed Academy Award winner was gone as quickly as she arrived.

#Dallas, y’all are amazing!! Until next time… ???????????? #DraperJamesDallas
