Review: Natura Bissé Diamond Rose Ritual in Honor of Beauty Lovers Day

What exactly is Beauty Lovers Day? April 23 is a significant date in Natura Bissé’s hometown of Barcelona. There, it’s a day of heroes and legends, love, roses, and culture. But for all of us beauty lovers who aren’t lucky enough to be in Spain among the heroes in legends today, we still get to join Natura Bissé as they celebrate in Dallas by launching the fantastic Diamond Rose Ritual Facial I received last Friday and a limited edition Absolute Diamond Damask Rose Body Oil available today only.

{The Details} In honor of Natura Bissé’s second annual Beauty Lovers Day today, we were invited to try out the brand’s new Diamond Rose Ritual Treatment. I gallantly volunteered myself to be the NaturaBisse-BeautyLoversDay2015-StyleofSam2tester.

{The Setting} The Natura Bissé Destino Barcelona Room in Neiman Marcus NorthPark. Having been fortunate enough to schedule my appointment at 5pm on a Friday afternoon, I cannot imagine a better way to unwind after a long week. To put it frankly, Natura Bissé’s Diamond Rose Ritual kicked a glass of wine’s butt.

{The Treatment} After removing my makeup with Diamond White cleanser, my skin was toned with Diamond White Clarity Toner. Then things got interesting. To exfoliate my skin, an exclusive three-step Glyco 3 Peel (a spa version of their Glyco Extreme Peel) was applied, which fizzedwhile it set in. While all this invigorating fizzing was going down, a rose scrub was massaged onto my arms and removed with hot towels.

My skin was then treated to even more of Natura Bissé’s luxurious products including an energizing nectar and massaged with moisturizer. Then came my favorite part. A thick micronized algae mask (it felt like a paste) was painted onto my skin to seal in all the goodness of the treatments and then peeled off in one thick layer once it was dry. It was way cool and felt fantastic while being applied and while drying. Once the mask was removed, a toner and eye cream were applied to top off the treatment.

{The Verdict} I know this will sound cliché, but my skin really did feel renewed. It was a fantastic feeling. So fantastic in fact, that I was reluctant to put on any makeup when I got home that night. I thought to myself, maybe I’ll just become one of those cool girls who “doesn’t wear makeup.” Once I realized that Kendal Jenner and I are not in fact twins I eventually caved, but not without one last lingering glance at my clean, glowing skin.

Now, back to Beauty Lovers Day. The rose oil is very rich in omega 3 and 6, which gives it super anti-ageing, anti-stress and antioxidant super powers. This morning, I spritzed my bod with a little bit of the ultra nourishing and super lovely smelling oil that, up until now, has been reserved for the brand’s VIP clients. Bring on the heroes and legends.
