Our 3 Favorite Dallas Vintage Stores

Peculiar finds from Dolly Python, immaculate designer duds from Vintage Martini, and unique gems from Commonwealth Couture.

Why we love Vintage Martini: After moving from Carrollton, this shop is better than ever. The immaculate selection is organized by year, while the “museum room” offers century-old couture. Skip Oscar de la Renta’s retrospective at the Bush Presidential Library; the front of the store is fully loaded with the designer.

Why we love Dolly Python: For the peculiar finds, from a taxidermied cat to a vintage mirror from Neiman Marcus’ bridal department, but especially for the jewelry counter, which houses antique Victorian mourning pins and Art Deco cocktail rings. Ahab Bowen’s vintage clothing is sold here, too.

Why we love Commonwealth Couture: The storefront is small, and the racks are a bit messy, but sort through and you could strike figurative gold. We’ve seen vintage Bill Blass, Lanvin, Guy Laroche, Geoffrey Beene, couturier Bob Bugnand, and contemporary Chanel castoffs shed by Park Cities dwellers.
