Piermarini Launches Eponymous Beauty Line
The Snider Plaza boutique has launched its own beauty collection. The 32-piece lineup includes everything from night cream to a perfect red lipstick and rings up between $18 and $48.  The products come in smart black containers with the Piermarini logo and are formulated with water lily extract, avocado oil, aloe, jojoba, vitamin C, and vitamin K. Products, owner John Piermarini says, were meant to compliment the clothing in simplicity and sophistication. Everything is hypoallergenic, animal testing-free, made in the United States, and named with sass. Lipsticks come in “Just Tonight,” “The Other Woman,” and “But You Said.”

Install the BlownAway App and Click for a Blowout at Home
Sometimes sitting in a salon for a blowout is painful. When you have a million things to accomplish and less than a million minutes to get them done, it’s hard not to watch the clock and think of all the to-dos on your list you could be crossing off. When your head goes there, despite the free wine and scalp massage, it’s not a relaxing experience. Sitting in a chair in your own kitchen with your dog in your lap while the blowdryer’s on your head, however, is totally delightful. Book this experience with BlownAway. Install the app on your phone, select a blowout style (options include Dallas, CEO, or Green Goddess), pick a date and time, and book it for $55. Plug in your address and credit card number and, just like with Uber, you’ll be automatically checked out (gratuity included) when the stylist leaves your home. If you’re looking for more glam time, you can add on a braid, an updo, or makeup.

BeGlammed Glams You Up at Home, Too
BlownAway isn’t the only one bringing the talent of the city’s beauty providers to your boudoir (or, you know, in my case, the kitchen). BeGlammed is a mobile beauty service that send stylists and makeup artists to your abode after a few clicks on the app (or via website). Book an undo, downdo, full makeup application, hair and makeup combo, or even a makeup touchup for you or a group of friends—hello, Friday night girls’ night. Bridal packages are available, too. Although I haven’t given the service a trial run myself yet, I know makeup artist Kate Conkey is on board, and I’d trust her with my face any day. For the busiest of us, you can arrange your session outside of regular hours (8 am to 10 pm) with enough heads up.

Visit Bellacures in Plaza at Preston and Try Seriously Glittery Manicure
Though Dallas doesn’t want for nail salons, there seems to be a lack of consistency. Most of the time, people just pop into their local nail joint around the corner, be it a hit-or-miss, hole-in-the-wall scenario or a spot-on experience. I’m a proponent of a better quality ordeal. Though Bellacures in the Plaza at Preston Center is one of a chain of California locations, I see it quickly becoming a go-to neighborhood spot. The salon is clean. Detached tubs lined with plastic and throw-away tools are hygiene-friendly and the staff is super friendly. Plus, they offer Rockstar Gelicures, a nail service I have not seen offered elsewhere in Dallas. Layers of scintillating glitter–there are dozens to choose from–is sandwiched between gels for the brightest, sparkliest mani on earth.

Maleiah Rogers’ New Era Salon
We haven’t been yet, but Maleiah has a thing for old Hollywood glamour and we’re on board with that. “Going to Maleiah Roger’s new salon feels like hanging out with friends,” Connie Sigel, owner of Elements, says. That’s what the beauty parlor should feel like. Count us in for bubbles and throwback glam.

Hiatus Opened its Third Location in Plano
If you call Plano home, you now have one of the finest spas in your hood. Hiatus Spa + Retreat, which started in Austin and opened its second location in Inwood Village in Dallas, has opened a third spa on Chapel Hill. Book the best-ever body treatment, the spa’s monthly “ritual.” The scrub/massage/Vichy shower/happy ending cocktail is almost too indulgent. Almost.

And that’s really all I have on that for now. Looking forward to perusing the beauty shop locally for Bobbi Brown eye pots, Rosebud lip salves, NARS lipsticks, Oribe volumizing spray, and Bliss body cream.
