Shopping FridaysFGI Dallas Fashion and Lifestyle Awards Gala: Don’t miss Fashion Group International Dallas’ largest fundraiser of the year, the fashion and lifestyle awards gala, Night of Stars. Join co-chairs Chuck Steelman and Katy Messersmith for a fashionable night in Dallas Trade Mart’s Grand Pavilion, benefitting FGI Dallas Career Day. The Night of Stars Gala will include a runway presentation featuring local fashion industry supporters and philanthropists, as well as the awarding of the Shelly Musselman Fashion Design Award, a $10,000 prize which includes the creation of a capsule collection mentored by Bolke and unveiled at the Night of Stars.

The Splendid Indian Closet Fashion Show: Meet designers Joy Mitra and Lisa Ray (for Satya Paul) at this Indian luxury and couture show. The event will showcase two collections, “Ray of Hope,” a line of saris, and “Chokher Bali,” dedicated to late actor/director/producer Rituparno Ghosh. The cocktail reception will be held 6:30 to 8 p.m. followed by the fashion show.

Simply Stylist Dallas 2013: Sarah Boyd, mastermind behind this fashion industry networking affair hosted by E! News correspondant Catt Sadler, founded this event to connect the fashion- and beauty-minded with industry vets in-the-know. Grab a VIP Fashionista ticket for a pass to the entire day, including a morning brunch, a fashion and beauty panel (which includes our own ShopTalk’s Raya Ramsey alongside Courtney Kerr and Amber Venz), a follow-up meet and greet, and a shopping event. Or skip directly to the afternoon’s events with a $100 Fashion and Beauty Lover ticket or $20 Shopaholic pass. A portion of ticket proceeds benefit I Am That Girl, a campaign to better women’s self-worth.

Talbot Runhof Trunk Show at Tootsies: Stop by this Saturday for resort and spring 2014 evening wear. The line includes pretty pantsuits, luxe leather, and slinky evening gowns, like this tricolor number.
